Director, Business Development
Cloudmark is a profitable, privately-held anti-spam technology company located in San Francisco, California. Our customers include over 100 of the world's largest Internet service providers, including the majority of tier-1 operators in North America, Japan and Europe. Our products protect more than 850 million inboxes, worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Partnerships: Identify, source, negotiate and complete partnerships with firms that will enhance Cloudmark’s fixed-line and mobile telecommunications operator products
- Sales Channel Partnerships: Identify, source, negotiate and complete partnerships with firms that will provide Cloudmark with stronger sales channels in the fixed-line and mobile telecommunications operator markets and enterprise OEM market
- Partner Relationship building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-level, sales, marketing and business development contacts at partner firms
- Liaise with Cloudmark global sales and field technical teams to solicit input for technical requirements for product offerings and for channel strategy
- Work with Cloudmark partners to craft value propositions, proposal responses and marketing collateral in the mobile and fixed-line operator market
- Liaise with Marketing to ensure strong, consistent messaging to fixed line and mobile carriers and channel partners
Required Qualifications:
- C-Level selling and relationship building experience
- Experience in negotiating and closing partner/vendor contracts with C-Level executives
- Exceptional relationship development skills
- Ability to sell in a consultative manner to identify and diplomatically address partner issues
- Strategic acumen and strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in creating, editing and providing inputs for value propositions and proposal content
- Clear demonstration of successful roles in a multi-tasking environment
- Bachelors Degree Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Degree (Bachelors or higher) and/or MBA
The San Francisco office is in the SOMA district, near AT&T Park. We are within walking distance of Caltrain, BART and Muni.
